Sushi Rice
Colourful and fresh
Just like sushi, but in a bowl! A great alternative for those who want all the taste and textures of sushi, but want something a little less time-consuming. Quick, easy and full of flavour!

Ingredients
- 225g salmon fillet (sliced into 1cm cubes)
- ½ avocado
- 1 large carrot (grated)
- ½ tsp Black Roasted Sesame Seeds
- 2 sheets of Nori Snack (thinly sliced)
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
For rice:
- 250g Sushi Rice (uncooked weight)
- 5 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Place a pot on the stove and add the Sushi Rice and 350ml of cold water.
- Cover the pot, bring it to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Once the rice is cooked, turn off the heat but keep the lid on and leave the rice to rest for 15 minutes.
- Remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork or a rice paddle.
- Mix together the rice vinegar and salt, and pour these over the rice while still hot.
- Gently slice the salmon into 1cm cubes, and just before assembling the bowl, place the salmon in a bowl and season with Soy Sauce.
- Chop the avocado, carrot and Nori Snack into slices, ready for assembling.
- Finally, place a few spoonfuls of rice into a medium bowl. Top the rice with the seasoned salmon, avocado, carrot, Nori Snack strips and Roasted Black Sesame Seeds.
