Spooky sushi!

These onigiri bats are a boo-tiful addition to any Halloween spread.

60 mins Serves 2-3

Ingredients

  • 5 sheets of Sushi Nori
  • 10-20g Poke Sprinkle
  • 2 tsp Wasabi Paste

For the rice:

  • 150g Sushi Rice
  • 3 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt

An onigiri mold can be used, or you can shape by hand.

 

Instructions

  1. Cook your Sushi Rice according to the instructions on the box. Once done, place rice in the fridge to cool.
  2. Cut your Sushi Nori into bat shapes. To make this easier, you can print out a stencil and lay it over the Nori to cut around.
  3. Add the Poke Sprinkle to the Sushi Rice and mix well.
  4. Shape the rice into onigiri by hand or using a mold.
  5. Place a small dollop of Wasabi Paste onto the central part of the bat, before carefully placing your onigiri rice on top.
  6. You can curl up the tail and wings of some of the Onigiri Bats onto the body, serve on a plate and enjoy!
